Kelley Pointe's Open Spaces are combined to define movement through the site and the park's overall landscape image. Amenities that make the Open Space functional and enjoyable include existing vegetation along the creek, fitness trails, outdoor furniture, natural and man-made ponds, and fountains.
Other
components designed within the Kelley Pointe master plan include the
vehicular and pedestrian signage and lighting systems. These systems
work together to define and integrate the entire project. The vehicular
experience includes the park entrances off Kelly Avenue and 33rd Street,
the landscaped roadway setbacks through the park, and guidelines for
off-street parking areas. The pedestrian system links together the entire
park, placing emphasis on safety, recreation, transition zones, landscaping,
and access to open space and the Commercial/Retail Village.
The signage and
lighting systems provide a consistent image, clarity of access, and
assists safety throughout the park. Lighting and signage are developed
at a variety of scales for major entrances, roadways, parking areas,
retail, pedestrian areas, and trails.
